Anita has spent a lifetime outdoors, camping, hiking, paddling and exploring the natural world. She has an enormous appreciation for the abundant beauty of nature, as well as the profound wisdom and healing that it can provide. She is a Certified Yoga Instructor as well as a a Certified Forest Therapy Connection Guide gaining her certification through the Global Institute of Forest Therapy and Nature Connection. (GIFT) Anita has also had a long and rewarding career in education, helping students overcome challenges and learn to thrive. As a Yoga instructor, honoring the ancient practices of mindful living and guiding Forest Connection walks, she combines her love of nature, movement and wellness.


Yoga
Anita is a certified Yoga Instructor and has been guiding Yoga classes since 2013. She believes that Yoga and alternative therapies can transform health, mindset and the relationship between self and the world. Her gentle style of Yoga is so much more than the poses. Easy flowing movements and breath work allow the mind to quiet and the nervous system to calm, thus allowing the individual to discover the best version of themselves. In her Yoga class, Anita provides a soft, nurturing, and supportive environment that allows the student to drop into a deep state of stillness and relaxation. Each student is encouraged to move mindfully at their own pace. Anita believes stillness is a powerful practice. Yoga practiced outdoors in nature is her favorite way of combining the healing powers of both!
